Who these cover

The marketplace is run by Proteus AI ("we", "us"). These terms are between us and the workspace that publishes a listing ("you"). The workspace owner or admin who accepts them does so for the workspace, and confirms they may. A workspace accepts each version of these terms once, before it sends its first listing under it.

Our terms of use still apply; where the two differ about publishing, these terms win.

What you confirm when you send a listing

• You have the right to publish it, and everything in it (its words, images, icon, instructions, workflows and, for an app, its manifest) is yours or yours to use.
• It does what its listing says, and nothing it hides: no malware, no tracking or collecting data it doesn't disclose, no getting around approvals or limits.
• It doesn't pretend to be someone else, or to be made or endorsed by us when it isn't.
• It breaks no law and no one's rights, and keeps to our acceptable use rules.
• An agent's listing carries no keys, passwords or other secrets.

If you publish an app

An app runs on your servers, and workspaces send it their data. So you also agree to:

• give a privacy policy at an address anyone can read, keep it accurate, and handle the data workspaces send your app lawfully and as it says;
• serve the manifest you sent from its address: the one we review is the one workspaces install, and a changed manifest is a new version, reviewed again;
• keep your app working for the workspaces that installed it, and fix security problems promptly;
• tell us at hello@proteusai.app if your app is compromised or you learn it's misused.

Review, and taking listings down

We review every version before it's listed, and may decline one, with our reason. We may take a listing down at any time, for example if it breaks these terms, puts workspaces at risk, or is required by law; we tell you why. When we take an app down, the workspaces that installed it from the marketplace are told, with our reason; it keeps working there until they remove it. Workspaces that added an agent keep their copy.

You can take your listing out of the marketplace at any time, from the workspace that published it. Review isn't a guarantee: it doesn't make us responsible for how your agent or app behaves.

What you let us and others do

You let us show your listing (its name, words, images, icon and what it sets up) in the marketplace and on our websites, and keep the versions you send, including an app's manifest as we read it. You let any workspace add your agent, which copies what it carries into that workspace, or install your app from its manifest. You keep ownership of what you publish.

Publishing keys

A publishing key sends new versions of one app in your workspace's name. Keep it secret, and revoke it if it may have been seen: what's sent with it is sent by your workspace.

Fees

Publishing is free, and the marketplace takes no payments. If that changes, these terms will change first, and we'll ask you to accept them again.

Responsibility

You're responsible for what you publish and, for an app, for the service it gives. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited as in our terms of use.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. A new version has a new date at the top; before your workspace sends its next listing, its owners or admins are asked to accept it. Listings already in the marketplace stay listed meanwhile.
